Janine is the owner of Before and After Hair Studio, and has been keeping hair healthy and clients happy for over 30 years.
Kameera McQuitter
Stylist, Loctician, HKBK Beauty Brand Owner
Kameera McQuitter started her career as a hairstylist in 2005. Over the years she developed a skill and care for natural, relaxed, and color treated hair.

In 2017 she developed her own line of hair & skin care products. Focusing on what our hair and skin needs, she developed a line based on moisturizing, nourishing, and promoting hair growth while at home.

The Before and After Hair Studio was established in 1996, and over the past 26 years in business, the salon has evolved from just a place to come and have your hair done to a second home, a sanctuary. Beauty goes beyond the chair, and every guest is welcomed like family. A culture of warmth, empowerment, and genuine connection has been created at The Before and After Hair Studio.

Our clientele is just as diverse as the hair textures we work on, and we understand that not every head is the same. The Before and After Hair Studio boasts a diverse group of licensed beauticians equipped to work with a wide range of hair types and textures and to serve clients of all genders, backgrounds, and ethnicities.

We provide customers with the latest hairstyles, trends, and tips for maintaining healthy hair. We believe our clients should have an exceptional experience and leave the salon feeling marvelous. ​Although it’s solely a salon now, Before and After Hair Studio was among one of the first hair salons to merge a Barbershop and Beauty Salon in South Plainfield. We’re continuously grateful to the pioneer salons that laid the foundation for us to build upon. We’re proud to continue that legacy and lay the foundation for beauticians that follow, as several of Before and After’s very own beauticians have gone on to successfully open their own beauty salons!
